Hyundai ix20
Hyundai Belux launches the ix20 with the Blue Drive package
After the implementation of the Blue Drive package on the entire i30-range, Hyundai Belux now decided to make the ecological Blue Drive package standard equipment on the all new ix20 MPV.
It goes without saying that the environmental theme is all over the automotive scene. To make sure that Hyundai does not miss out on this important evolution, Hyundai Belux decided to implement the Blue Drive package on the entire ix20-range. This means that all ix20 comes with standard features as start/stop-system, low resistance tires, an intelligent alternator and some aero dynamical modifications to the car. As a result, the ix20 boosts class leading CO2 emissions. The diesel versions even drop below 115g, which makes them allegeable for the 3% governmental bonus. This is pretty unique in his segment.
Thanks to Blue Drive and the 5 Year Triple Care program, the ix20 is a unique offer for the Belux customers.
New Suzuki Swift
The new Suzuki Swift has arrived
Being an all-time hit, the successor of the Swift had to be perfect in every way. That is way the new Swift shifts up to the premium end of the B-segment, presenting itself as an attractive alternative for competitors as the Audi A1, Mini and Citroen DS3. The very much appreciated design, remains very recognizable.
Being much bigger than the previous model, the new Swift easily lives up to the expectations of the more demanding B-segment customers. It’s more comfortable, better equipped and does not compromise in any way in terms of safety. That is why the new Swift received the maximum 5 star rating in the tough Euro NCAP crash test, and has ESP and 7 airbags fitted as standard.
For the launch, the new Swift will only be available with an economical 1.2 petrol engine, the diesel version will arrive in 2011.
Hyundai Commercial Vehicles
Alcadis signs an import and distribution collaboration agreement with Hyundai Commercial Vehicles
Alcadis has signed a declaration of intent with Hyundai Commercial Vehicles for importing and distributing Hyundai's light lorries in five European countries. Hyundai Commercial Vehicles, although a member of the Hyundai Automotive Group, operates independently in the development and distribution of light lorries, trucks and busses. Now that Hyundai's passenger car division has consolidated its presence in Europe, the vehicle manufacturer believes the time has come to launch a marketing offensive for its commercial vehicles. Alcadis, for many years a loyal partner of Hyundai in Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland (for passenger cars), is convinced that this project also has excellent prospects. Alcadis will commence its import activities in Poland in 2011, with possible expansion to Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland in 2012. In connection with the European market launch, Hyundai Commercial Vehicles plans to develop and launch new products specifically for this market. The first product in new model line in the sector up to 3.5 tonnes will become available in 2012. According to Alcadis CEO Damien Heymans, "The trust relationship we have built up with Hyundai over many years and the attractive range of products to be developed by Hyundai Commercial Vehicles reinforce our conviction that this expansion of our collaboration will help us realise Alcadis's ambitious growth objectives."

Hyundai ix35
Alcadis introduces the successor of its Tucson best-seller : the ix35
For the first time shown to the public at the Brussels Motor Show in January 2010, the ix35 had immediately a great start. Customers are particularly impressed by the clever and innovative design ("Fluidic Design", as stated by hyundai). The engine range is also extremely attractive with a wide array of ecological motorisation and an engine capacity ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 liters. With the use of two-wheel drive versions and advanced technologies such as the Blue Drive start-stop system, the ix35 belongs to the most environmentally friendly of the compact SUVs.
It is clear that the new i-series (with I10, I20, I30 and now ix35) is making significant efforts towards the environement. With the imminent launch of more new i-models, the future of Hyundai within Alcadis looks promising.
